MANAGERIAL FINANCE & COST ACCOUNTING (3 DAYS)

This course provides non-financial senior managers, such as General Managers, Assistant General Managers, Directors, business and functional area managers with the core financial skills necessary to be successful in their function. These individuals are often supported by a Controller but in order to leverage the Controller's skill sets to drive the business forward most effectively, senior leaders require a fundamental understanding of financials.

This intense 3-day training seminar will build the financial acumen and business savvy of senior leaders. It will provide leaders with an understanding of key financial metrics to evaluate when reviewing performance, quoting on new business or preparing a budget.

At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Understand and control the main drivers of costs
  • Identify required costs when quoting to customers and other divisions
  • Identify different methods of calculating product costs
  • Determine if costing methodology is appropriate for their area
  • Analyze key operational decisions in terms of financial impact
  • Prepare, review, and communicate budgets effectively
  • Review and control key costing variances
  • Increase ROFE for the division if appropriate

Workshop format
